The news context

AFP reported a journalist observing the blaze and emergency responders on Saturday afternoon; AP independently reported a witness seeing the refinery fire. Saudi authorities and Aramco had not immediately answered AP’s requests for comment. Neither report established its cause or quantified operational damage. The incident comes during renewed fighting involving Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthis, with energy infrastructure and shipping routes already exposed to regional hostilities.

This cartoon is satire. Its visual dialogue is invented; the linked reporting provides the factual background.
