Daily news, illustrated with satire.
Each daily edition pairs a short factual news summary with an AI-assisted cartoon, readable context and links to the reporting behind it.
News and satire
The summary and context explain reported developments and attribute disputed claims. The cartoon uses exaggeration and fictional dialogue; its speech bubbles are not authentic quotations unless explicitly identified.
How the daily story is selected
The automated news desk compares consequential developments from the preceding 24 hours across accessible major reporting organisations, including Reuters, AP, BBC, DW and other international providers. It considers consequences, freshness and independent coverage; it does not claim to measure the world’s single most important headline.
A lead needs readable reporting from at least two independent origins. Copies of the same wire report count as one origin. Search snippets, updated page dates and repeated official claims are not independent confirmation. Source links identify the reporting used; the site does not claim to have conducted those reporters’ interviews or fieldwork.
AI assistance and accountability
The daily workflow uses AI for research, writing and artwork, followed by automated checks and a separate AI image review. These checks can miss errors and are not a human editorial review. AI assistance is disclosed on each affected edition. The publisher remains responsible for responding to corrections.
Reading an edition
Context & sources provides the factual background and reporting links. The transcript makes the drawing’s dialogue and captions accessible without the image. Each edition keeps its original publication date and permanent URL; corrections are recorded separately. If publication is delayed, the previous edition remains clearly dated. Browse the dated archive or follow the RSS feed.
Corrections and contact
To flag an error or rights concern, send the edition’s permanent link, the disputed detail and supporting evidence when available to the contact in our publisher details. Dated corrections appear on the affected edition. Advertising is labelled separately from the news and cartoon.
